HARTFORD, CT – Flying dogs, exotic animals, rare breeds, AKC parades, unique pet products, pony rides and plenty of family activities highlight the 18th annual Connecticut Pet Show & TICA Cat Show sponsored by PETCO and The PETCO Foundation, Oct. 24th - 25th at the Connecticut Expo Center, 265 Reverend Moody Overpass, in Hartford, Conn.
Pet lovers look forward to this two-day event for a great day of funfilled
family activities. Jenks Productions, Inc. pet shows offer a dynamic
showcase of pet products and pet services, as well as a wide variety of rare
and beautiful animals
.
Bring a can/bag of pet food and get $1 off a $8 adult admission. All
proceeds go to the Helping Paws Shelter for distribution to Connecticut
shelters and rescue projects. “We are proud to support shelters and rescue groups in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Pennsylvania. We thank our patrons for their generosity in helping us support local shelters and rescue groups in your community,” said Dennis Jenks, president and CEO of Jenks Productions.
The show, also sponsored by the Connecticut Humane Society,
features the AKC Parade of Purebred Dogs, with over 150 purebred dog
breeds. The (TICA) International Cat Association Cat Show offers more
than 100 breeds of exotic and domestic purebred cats. The Rarities Rare and Ancient Dog Breed Show, features rare & AKC registered breeds in a live dog show competition.
Attendees will see purebred AKC and Rare Breed dogs and purebred cats in the International Cat Association cat shows, but you'll meet dozens of shelter and rescue groups, hoping to find "forever" homes for lovable "pound pups" and "kennel kitties". Plus, shop for exotic, one-of-a-kind pet products and crafts, and learn more about the many pet services available in your area. Enjoy the exotic reptiles, bunnies and birds, and enjoy exciting dog agility and protection dog demos.
The pet show is seeking the best pet Halloween costumes!
Photographs will be posted at the show and the public will vote – on the last
day, one winner will scamper away with a $300 gift card.
Don’t miss the TICA cat show, Circle K pony rides, petting zoo,
ultimate air dogs, the rare dog show and Bwana Jim’s reptile show!

services will be onsite. Exhibits for pet sitting, grooming, a wide variety of
pet foods, boarding, training and health concerns will share the information
every responsible pet lover needs. Shop for collars & leashes, bedding,
clothing for pets and people, gifts and decorative accessories and a whole lot more!
